Summary

Children need healthy connections and a sense of belonging before they can learn. We will discuss how Conscious Discipline skills of encouragement, choices, and empathy work together to build connection in our classrooms. We will also be giving strategies that can be used in creating connection within our classrooms.

•    I understand the importance of using child misbehavior as an opportunity to help children learn a new skill.
•    I understand the benefits of using choices with children and can implement using two positive choices appropriately.
