Summary

Child care and early learning professionals are tasked with finding creative ways to adapt activities and experiences to meet the needs of all children. Although it can seem daunting, early childhood professionals have been making adaptations in their classrooms for years. Adaptations can be as simple as taping a paper to the table for coloring for children who have difficulty holding and coloring simultaneously or more complex like adding in non-standard seating options. This training explores ways to adapt traditional learning activities to meet the needs of all children enrolled in a program including children with disabilities.
