Summary

"IN PERSON TRAINING" Training will provide providers information that stresses the importance of incorporating physical activity into their child care schedule. Information will include the Missouri Move Smart guidelines, gross motor skills (big body movements), developmental characteristics of children, and age-appropriate equipment and activities. Participants will discuss how to incorporate physical activities into their program and the variety of activities they can introduce to children.

Objectives:
Participants will learn about the importance of providing daily physical activities for the children in their care Participants will learn about the Missouri Move Smart standards Participants will learn what is big body play and the variety of activities that strengthen children's brain and physical development Participants will create a physical activity schedule and improvement plan
