Summary

"IN PERSON TRAINING" This training includes a basic but thoughtful introduction to ACEs and how adversity, early in life, affects individuals for a lifetime. The training will include ways for caregivers to promote resilience and social emotional development and how doing so reduces the negative impacts of ACEs. Trainees will be encouraged to participate throughout the training.

Objectives:

At the conclusion of the training, participants will be able to provide a general definition of ACEs. Participants will be able to explain how they can help children overcome adversity in their classroom or program. Participants will have the chance to apply the knowledge learned in the training by creating an action plan for a child facing adversity.
