Summary

Over the past few months, we have all had our supplies stretched, our emergency plans tested and our nerves tried! This session will focus on intergrating infectious disease preparedness into your overall Emergency Response Plan. We will discuss what happens when the 3 types of emergency (Shelter-in, Evacuation and Medical) become one - Pandemic.

Objectives:

1. Participants will: - Review the necessity for having a written Emergency Plan 

2. Learn/Review the 3 steps to prepare for an emergency - Be actively reminded of WHY preparedness matters 

3. Learn/Review the 3 types of emergencies - Share 1 of your ideas for the various planning activities for the types of emergencies 

4. Actively participate in the group discussion the multi-faceted emergency planning needed for a pandemic -

5. Seek out at least 1 new idea for each type of emergency plan - Develop at least 1 idea for using their emergency planning to aid in dealing with a pandemic like covid-19. - Discover at least 1 new idea for a resource shared by the group
