Summary

This training will discuss with participants the importance of school readiness such as early literacy skills, early math skills, personal wellbeing, dealing with attachment and social emotional development. This training will give providers the strategies and tools needed to enhance the learning experience of the children. Providers will develop techniques they can share with family members to help ensure a successful first year in a formal educational setting.

Objectives:

1. This training will allow participants the ability to create group and individualized plans/goals for each child transitioning to a formal educational setting. 

2. Participants will also be given the skills needed to discuss the plans/goals with parents. 

3. Participants will be able to recognize and create plans to help children regulate emotional concerns that may accompany the change in daily routines, classroom management styles, as well as the increase number of students in one setting.
