Summary

**THIS IS AN ONLINE TRAINING VIA ZOOM** Many "special needs" in your classroom may arise only from children who need help learning to regulate and manage their own emotions. In this session you will learn about emotional intelligence and its impact on the growth and development of children. This module introduces you to theories. You will learn helpful strategies to support children's emotional development.
Outcomes/ Benefits: Participants will know what the definition of emotional intelligence is and each of the components of emotional intelligence. Participants will understand how emotional intelligence impacts all areas of development. Participants will be able to implement strategies to support emotional intelligence in the classroom. Participants will be able to support emotional regulation in the classroom.
