This training session focuses the different types of trauma children can experience. It explores how trauma can impact brain development in young children. In this training we will also define and discuss ACEs (Adverse Childhood Experiences), and provide strategies and techniques for supporting children who have experienced trauma. 

 Content Areas

2b: Collaborate as partners with families in young children's development and learning through respectful, reciprocal relationships and engagement. (0.5 Hours)
4a: Understand and demonstrate positive, caring, supportive relationships and interactions as the foundation of early childhood educators' work with young children. (1 Hour)
