Child Care Business 102 - Module 1

This part one of a two-part training designed as a beginner workshop for those interested in operating a child care business, either center-based or as a family child care home. The two-part workshop will be an overview of the many topics that child care professionals need to know to be successful in the business. Module 1 includes the following topics: Types of Child Care; Legal Structures; Building Needs and Zoning; Working with State Licensing; Insurance Basics; Financials and Budgeting; Subsidy; Taxes and Bookkeeping Basics. See Child Care Business 102 – Module 2 for information on the second part of this workshop. Both Module 1 and Module 2 must be completed as part of the requirement for listing with CDCA as an unlicensed family home provider.
